Jin, the oldest member of BTS, has entered military service - the first of the group to do so.
He posted a photo of himself with his new military haircut before enlisting on Tuesday. "It looks cuter than I expected," he said.
Jin announced his plan to enlist after his solo concert in Busan last month, and after returning to Korea after performing the single "The Astronaut" with the band Coldplay in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he filed a request for the postponement of his enlistment.
According to the military, Jin has begun five weeks' training at a bootcamp near the North Korean border. The Ministry of National Defense has stated that it will provide an opportunity to participate if the member himself wishes to participate in an event for public interest or national interest after BTS enlists.
