Jackson of group GOT7 has joined LPL Victory 5 (V5) as a partner.

V5 announced on the 7th that Jackson of GOT7 will join as a partner at the opening ceremony of the home stadium in Shenzhen, located in Guangdong, China. At the event, V5 game team owner Mario signed a partnership agreement with Jackson. Jackson participated as a surprise guest on this day and presented a scarf with the meaning of transmission of V5.

Recently, in China, entertainers have been increasingly investing in game teams. Chinese singer Ju Gol-ryun (周杰倫), a Chinese singer who recently participated in the LPL event, is the head of the game team leading the J team, and Wang Junkai, a member of the boy group TF Voice, is also active in e-sports. In the case of Jackson, he participated as an invited singer at the 2018 Prince Youngyo KPL World Championship in Beijing, China. In Korea, Brion Blade joined the ‘space star’ Kim Hee-cheol as an investor, and Seol Hae-won joined EXO’s Sehun as a shareholder.

The V5 finished last in the spring season with a total loss, but in the summer season, they rented out "Biubiu," "Wayway" and "Samdi" to advance to the playoffs with 11 wins and 5 losses. The V5 lost to Suning 1-3, failing to make it to the semifinals.

On the same day, the V5 decided to use Shenzhen as its home base. V5 became the sixth team to choose its home base after LGD Gaming (Hangzhou), OMG (Cheongdu), Jingdong Gaming (Beijing), LNG eSports (Suzhou) and WE (Sian). In the case of Royal Never Give Up (RNG), Beijing had been based until last year, but returned to Shanghai, where it was co-owned.
