NCT's Jisung has proven his global popularity by securing the top spot in the weekly rankings of the global popularity poll service, KDOL, for the first time.
Jisung ranked first in KDOL's weekly ranking for the fifth week of December 2024, earning a total of 56,128,693 hearts.
Second place went to Taehyun of TXT, who garnered 19,481,372 hearts, while BTS's Jimin claimed third place with 18,814,959 hearts. BTS's Jin and V followed in fourth and fifth places with 8,930,378 hearts and 5,316,725 hearts, respectively.
KDOL is a global popularity voting service for K-pop idols where fans determine the rankings through direct votes. Fans from all over the world, including the United States, Japan, Southeast Asia, and South Korea, participate in these votes, which are 100% reflected in the rankings. Voting resets daily at midnight KST, and rankings are tallied for daily, weekly, and monthly results. A cumulative score determines which idols enter the Hall of Fame.
Notably, idols who surpass 30 million hearts, regardless of their ranking, receive various rewards, including subway advertisements. This policy has helped KDOL gain a reputation as a "cost-effective voting app," driving active participation from fans worldwide.
