Best Albums by Billboard staff are BTS and BLACKPINK

K-pop star groups "BLACKPINK" and "BTS" were named "Best Album of the Year" by Billboard staff.

Billboard released "The 50 Best Album of 2020: Staff Picks" on the 7th (local time).

"We marked the beginning of the most historic year of BTS," Billboard said of BTS's 'Map of the Soul: 7.' "They reached the top of 'Billboard 200' without much help from American radio."

BTS With "Moon" made by member Jin and producer Slow Rabbit,  and "Louder Than Bombs" featuring Troye Sivan, he wrote that he pleased critics and fandom "Army."

Starting with "Dynamite" in September, BTS had the best year, featuring "Savage Love" and "Life Goes On" consecutively topping Billboard's main single chart "Hot 100."

Billboard evaluated BLACKPINK's "The Album" by saying, "It contains eight colorful "A-class K-pop," ranging from hip-hop to dance-pop, which is suitable for the album's name."

"BLACKPINK's hit song sound base has doubled its appeal due to collaboration with Selena Gomez and Cardi B," he said. In particular, Billboard praised Black Pink as a revolution, saying, "BLACKPINK continues to provide new 'attractive' points."

BLACKPINK has gained an unrivaled position in the global music market with its vigorous activities this year. K-pop girl group history was written for each new song released in May, including "Sour Candy," a collaboration song with pop star Lady Gaga, "How You Like That" in June, "Ice Cream" in August, and "THE ALBUM" in October.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is preparing for its first live stream concert "THE SHOW," which will be held on the 27th with YouTube. BTS will hold its online performance "2021 New Year's Eve Live" with Big Hit Labels singers on the 31st.
