The best K-pop star picked by Billboard is BLACKPINK.

BLACKPINK has raised its K-pop status by making consecutive names on the "2020 Best" album, song and music video list selected by the U.S. Billboard staff.

Billboard, a U.S. music media outlet, released its "25 Best Music Video of 2020: Staff Picks" on the 9th (local time).

 

 

 

BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" was ranked 20th on the performance video list. It is very unusual that it has drawn attention as a so-called choreography video, not a music video.

 

 

Billboard said, "BlackPink's video has a charm that makes you constantly look for it," adding, "From the perfect moves of the four members of Black Pink to the flutter of their hair, they are like professionals who are ready to compete in the Olympics. They rush to capture us as if they are conducting a "battle" every second of the minute," he said.

BLACKPINK previously ranked 23rd and 74th on Billboard's "2020 Best Songs of 2020: Staff Picks" with "How You Like That" and "Ice Cream," respectively.

Billboard praised "How You Like That" for "Lisa's rap verse is the most thrilling 30 seconds in pop history," and praised "Ice Cream," saying "Clean, bubble gum-like sounds have a different charm than sexy lyrics."

 

Also, BLACKPINK's "The Album" ranked 25th on the Billboard "The 50 Best Albums of 2020: Staff Picks," the highest ranking among K-pop albums.

BLACKPINK is the only K-pop artist to be ranked in all three categories of "Best of the Year" music videos, songs and albums selected by the U.S. Billboard staff.
