SuperM, Taemin, and NCT 127 were named "Songs and Albums Representing K-POP This Year" by TIME.
On December 11 (local time), the U.S. weekly magazine Time selected and released 10 songs each for "The Songs and Albums That Defined K-Pop's Universal Year in 2020" on its official website, with SuperM and Taemin ranked in the album category and NCT 127 in the song category.
Time said of SuperM's first full-length album, "Super One," showing that SuperM is an album made to convey its musical value.
"All the songs on the album are various BGMs to the daily lives of many people who are exhausted and going through difficult times," he said.
In addition, Taemin's third full-length album "Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 2" was selected as the representative album of 2020, noting that "this album is the most cohesive album with all of Taemin's delicate, soft, yet powerful vocals."
Time also selected NCT 127's second full-length title track "Kick It" for the song category, saying, "The unique swag encompassing the songs has become one of the iconic songs of K-pop in 2020.
The martial arts-themed performance was an impressive performance that flew a truly powerful "punch." The melody of the sweet and soft song is enough to be mesmerized," he said, drawing attention.
