BTS Jimin, Twitter Singapore ‘2020 K-pop most mentioned’ personal 1st place record

BTS's Jimin took control of Singapore's Twitter account in 2020. In Singapore, Jimin topped the list as a hashtag "2020 K-pop Most mentioned."

Twitter Singapore announced the settlement of the most frequently mentioned K-pop hashtag rankings in 2020.

Jimin's unique hashtag, "#jimin (hashtag Jimin)" was ranked fifth after the groups BTS, GOT7, TWICE and ATEEZ. He is the only individual to rank first and only one in the top five.

Jimin is called the "King of Twitter," which was particularly strong on Twitter.

 

He has consistently shown his presence on Twitter, ranking first in individuals and second overall, beating Prince, Beyonce and Justin Bieber in Time magazine's 2016 selection of "The Singer Most Said on Twitter."

According to an official Twitter announcement in 2018, he was the only K-pop singer to rank eighth as the "most-tweeted musician." It was also named the year-end settlement of Twitter mentions in each country every year, with Twitter Asian topping the list of "most mentioned Asian celebrities."

On Jimin's birthday in 2019, he took over the world's first real-time trends from No. 1 to No. 20, and this year, he swept 28 global trends from No. 1 to No. 30 with more than 40 million mentions from 156 countries.
