Q. There is no clear line between yesterday and today, but you became a civilian from the Ministry of National Defense.

A. I've been waiting for midnight. I was looking at my watch. "After an hour, I fulfilled my military duty!" I didn't have much time before I was discharged from the military, but now I think it's not much time to wait.

 

 

 

 

Q. Cover shoot the day after the discharge. Besides, I was surprised to hear that 10 a.m. is also good. Celebrity shoots don't usually start in the morning. Do you realize you're back now?

A. It feels real to start working right after the day after the discharge, and I feel different. I don't know what confidence I'm having, but I think our manager decided to get used to it today. I thought everyone was filming at this hour.

 

Q. By the way, are you a morning person?

A. I'm good at adjusting to the time difference when I'm abroad. I can choose the time difference.

 

Q. That's an amazing ability. It must have been useful in military life. I have an image of a well-organized and regular person, isn't that a necessary skill for the military?

A. I have to finish it quickly in the army. I want to finish it in a certain way so I'm slower than others because I try to clean up details.

Q. Cleaning up relieves stress. Is cleaning really that fun?

A. When you see dirty things, you get stressed out, and if you clean them up, you relieve your stress.(laughs)

Q. You were the first EXO member to join the army. How do you feel after you've been there?

A. I was very old and couldn't delay anymore. When I came back, it was right to go first. I think it's better to go to the army as soon as soon as possible. It's good to go when you're young, including your physical strength.

 

Q. I think the fans are most happy about the discharge. What did it mean to you that fans were waiting for your return?

A. I think it's really reassuring to have someone waiting for me. I have a sense of responsibility to repay at the same time. I have to be responsible for my upcoming works and activities.

Q. Baekhyun, a member of the group, has been working as a solo artist, and Kai has recently started his solo career. Will I see Xiumin's solo from now on?

A. I'm not planning anything specific yet. I'm taking it easy. It's the freedom of the discharged. I want to train more and meet our fans in an upgraded state.

Q. It's already been 8 years since I debuted in 2012 and became an EXO member. How has Kim Min-seok changed in the meantime?

A. A lot of things happened. I think I've matured a little as I got older and older. I feel more responsible. I'm getting to know how grateful I am to the members and staff. I've come to look after my parents these days. I felt that I should be a good son.

 

Q. Have you ever seen EXO concert on vacation while serving? How was the experience of seeing your usual performance in the audience?

A. One of the things I've always wanted to do is to watch EXO concerts like our fans. My wish came true. It was so much fun, but I don't want to see it twice. I wanted to be on stage with the members, so I couldn't stand it.

 

Q. There are people who say that EXO was not a trend, but an era. It has been widely loved for that long. What kind of pride do you feel about being a member?

A. Although there is a role for the members, EXO is a team that many people have created together. Our managers, staff, and fans! They're all a team. A lot of people worked hard and showed affection. There's nothing I can't do with my people.

Q. What are some aspects of you that you don't want to change over time?

A. Always living with gratitude. That way, life will be fun and happy. It would be too boring to live like everything is natural.
