Coke brand Pepsi has started to target the "K-POP" market in earnest by appointing idol "BLACKPINK" as an Asia-Pacific goodwill ambassador.
Under the theme of "Go all in for what you love," Pepsi has selected "Black Pink," which has become a top star after numerous efforts, as a model, and is gaining popularity as a variety of limited-edition products that utilize them.
"The years of Black Pink's perseverance to make their dreams come true have brought them to stardom, and it's a factor that encourages the younger generation and inspires them to find their idols," said Salman Butt, chief marketing officer at Pepsi.
Currently, the "BLACKPINK Pepsi" limited edition, which is being released in various Asian countries such as Pepsi China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, is drawing keen attention from local consumers, and there are also people traveling to various convenience stores to find specific BLACKPINK members.
