Tokopedia, Indonesia's largest e-commerce company, has selected BTS and BLACKPINK as brand ambassadors at the same time.
Tokopedia announced on its official social media on Wednesday the appointment of a brand ambassador for BTS and BlackPink.
BTS also served as the company's brand ambassador in 2019.
The company said it is proud to appoint a Korean global star as a goodwill ambassador for the Tokopedia brand, respectively, regarding the selection of BTS and BlackPink.
Regarding the appointment of BTS and BlackPink as ambassadors, he added, "I believe that cooperation will bring Indonesia's name to the global stage and that Indonesians can continue to make their dreams come true in the midst of the epidemic."
On the same day, Tokopedia posted an advertisement video featuring BTS and BlackPink on its YouTube channel.
BTS and BLACKPINK also appeared on WIB (Waktu Indonesia Belanja) broadcasts, which were recently reported through the streaming platform Tokopedia Play.
Currently, the company's Twitter and YouTube banners have pictures of BTS and BlackPink, respectively.
Tokopedia is known to be a company where Softbank, led by Chairman Son Jeong-ui (Son Masayoshi), has executed large investments along with Coupang, a domestic e-commerce company.
