BLACKPINK and YG, Live Concert Through the Online Era

BLACKPINK captivated fans around the world with just one stage at their first online concert. Amid the popularity of online performances specializing in digital technology, Black Pink has differentiated itself into realistic performances by emphasizing various sets and live band sounds. 

On the afternoon of the 31st, Black Pink held a live stream concert called "YG PALM STAGE - 2021 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW" (hereinafter "The Show").

"The Show" is BLACKPINK's first online concert and the first live stream concert presented by YG Entertainment. Since last year, face-to-face performances have become impossible due to the spread of Corona 19 around the world, and Korean singers have been conducting concerts live online. Among them, BLACKPINK's concert, which was YG's first runner, drew attention.

BLACKPINK made a spectacular opening with their hit songs "KILL THIS LOVE," "CRAZY OVER YOU" and "HOW LIKE THAT" from their first full-length album "THE ALBUM."

BlackPink then heated up the stage with "Playing With Fire" and moved to a stage reminiscent of a cave. Transformed into a dreamy atmosphere, they staged the stage with "Don't KNOW WHAT TO DO," a song from the album "Kill This Love." BLACKPINK, who turned to a cheerful atmosphere again, boosted the excitement with their hit song "Lovesick Girls."

"The Show" stood out for its focus on delicate and diverse stage sets and band sounds. Rather than using digital technology, it used installations. It created a total of 10 completely different atmosphere by setting up three big main sets.

Ahead of the final stage, BLACKPINK said, "We've been preparing hard for the performance, and We hope BLINK will cheer for us excitedly as we're so excited." "We met a little late because of an unexpected situation while preparing for 'The Show' for a long time, but I'm glad that we can finish it healthy," he said. "I hope BLINK gets good energy, too." The last "Forever Young" stage was decorated on a set full of fans' messages. BLACKPINK freely traveled around the stage, remembered their fans, and thanked the staff, including bands and dancers, who worked hard for the performance, and decorated the finale.
