BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYA" music video has surpassed 1.1 billion views on YouTube. This is the third time that it has 1.1 billion views.
BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYA" music video exceeded 1.1 billion views on YouTube at 4:29 p.m. on the 4th. It has been 114 days since it reached a record of 1 billion views.
As a result, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop group to have three music videos with more than 1.1 billion views.
Prior to "BOOMBAYA," the music videos of "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and "Kill This Love" first hit 1.1 billion views. The two music videos are now approaching 1.5 billion views and 1.2 billion views, respectively.
"BOOMBAYA" is one of the double title songs of BLACKPINK's debut single album "SQUARE ONE" released in August 2016.
The music video of the song, which features addictive chorus and exciting drum beats, has not decreased the pace of views even though it has been released on YouTube for more than four years.
It also gained popularity on YouTube. Earlier, it took about three months to reach 700 million views to 800 million views, five months and 13 days, four months and 15 days from 800 million to 900 million views, and it took about three months to reach 900 million views, rather a steeper rise.
