BTS J-Hope's birthday commemoration, the world's first ‘One Times Square’ advertisement

BTS J-Hope has become the first artist in the world to appear on the New York "One Times Square" commercial screen.

Baidu J-Hope's Chinese fan club, Baidu J-Hope bar, recently tweeted on SNS, "To mark J-Hope's birthday on February 18, We are sending a congratulatory video from One Times Square, one of the world's most valuable advertising media." It is the world's first support project by a fan club other than a conglomerate."

"Our most precious baby J-Hope should spend his 28th birthday in love of course," he said, expressing his sincere congratulations on his birthday.

Times Square refers to the intersection of Sevens Avenue and Broadway in Midtown Manhattan, the United States. It is called the "intersection of the world" and "center of the universe" with an average annual floating population of more than 100 million.

"One Times Square" is a 111m-high building in the center of Times Square, with a super-large advertising screen installed on the front. It is known as a landmark that symbolizes New York itself as it appears in movies and dramas set in New York, and is also famous for its building where the New Year's countdown ball drop event is held every year.

BTS appeared on ABC's New Year's Eve special program in Times Square in 2019, performing against the backdrop of "One Times Square" and participating in ball drop events.

On the day of J-Hope's birthday on the 18th, a total of 720 congratulatory videos of 15 seconds will be screened at "One Times Square."

Baidu J-Hope bar is also offering a variety of support in addition to the "One Times Square" commercial. A total of 4,678 screens on subway lines 1 to 8 in Seoul are sending congratulatory videos, and a 15m super-sized mural was presented to Gwangju Metropolitan City, J-Hope's hometown.

It will also be the first Korean star to advertise on the Central World Digital Screen in Bangkok, Thailand, the world's largest.

In 2020, they established "Jeong Hoseok Hope Hospital" in Qianshan County, Anhui Province, China.
