BTS sweeps IFPI.

BTS swept three of the global charts by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).

According to IFPI's announcement on its official website and SNS channels from 9th to 11th (local time), BTS's fourth full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" ranked first on both the 2020 Global Album All Format Chart and the 2020 Global Album Sales Chart.

BTS became the first non-English-speaking singer to reach the top of the three IFPI charts in the 2020 Global Artist Chart, which was released on the 3rd.

The "Global All Format Chart" ranks the best-selling albums every year by combining real album sales, digital music downloads and streaming figures, with BTS ranking first and fourth with "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" and "BE" on the 2020 chart, respectively.

In the "Global Album Sales Chart," which ranks by combining actual album sales and digital download figures sold around the world every year, "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" released in February last year ranked 1st and "BE" released in November ranked 2nd.

In addition, Japan's fourth full-length album, "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 ~ THE JOURNEY ~", which was released in July, was also ranked eighth, with BTS entering all three albums in the top 10 of the Global Album Sales Chart last year.

"The success of BTS in IFPI's global charts, including simultaneous first and second place on the charts, is unprecedented, showing that their music is gaining huge popularity around the world," said Francis More, president of IFPI. "We congratulate BTS on such a successful year.

BTS was also listed on the IFPI "2020 Global Digital Single Chart". This chart ranks the world's best-selling songs in all digital formats, including downloads of individual songs and music streaming services every year, and "Dynamite," released in August last year, ranked 10th on the 2020 chart.

BTS was nominated for the Best Pop DUO/GROUP PERFORMANCE category for Dynamite at the 2021 Grammy Awards on the 14th, and will also perform on stage.
