"The Box," starring EXO Chanyeol, is receiving love calls overseas.
M-Line, which is in charge of overseas sales of "The Box," announced on the 19th that "The Box" is scheduled to be released in 11 countries, including the Americas, Australia and Japan, in addition to Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
According to M-Line, one of the reasons for sending hot love calls abroad is that he sympathized with the high perfection of a music movie, which was rarely seen in domestic films, as well as the message "to break the box that anyone would have and overcome."
The release date of the movie is also remarkable. Starting with Singapore on April 1, a week after its release in Korea, many countries, including Indonesia on April 7 and Malaysia on April 8, promised to show theaters one after another. This is in line with the demands of fans waiting for the movie, which makes them realize its popularity.
"The Box" is a miraculous busking road movie of Ji-hoon (Park Chanyeol) who can sing only when using a box and Min-soo (Cho Dal-hwan), a producer of Pomsa, whose success is the most important.
Park Chan-yeol's charming voice included Coldplay's "A Sky Full of Stars," Mariah Carey's "Without You," Farrell Williams' "Happy," Chet Baker's "My Funny Valentine" and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World." As a result, not only domestic but also foreign countries have shown a lot of interest.
"The Box" will be released in Korea on the 24th.
