BTS's Heartfelt Message to the 'Youth'

BTS, a popular protagonist group around the world, delivered a message of hope and courage to the young people.

BTS attended the 1st Youth Day celebration held at the Blue House on the morning of the 19th as a youth leader. On this day, BTS, as one of the 'young people', not a global popular group, told their honest stories about themselves until now. Along with this, They delivered a heartfelt message for young people living in the contemporary and future.

RM "I hope that our story in 2020 will be a small force"

“First of all, I would like to express my support to all young Koreans who are leading their lives with courage, without stopping to challenge anywhere in the world. If you are struggling in your future life for a variety of reasons, we hope that our story in 2020 will be a little help.

Around 2018, I remember the time when all seven members were wandering after gaining undeserved success. Even if a flower garden spreads out on the path we are walking and the greedy fruit falls, we can't believe it will always be. It's because we don't know when the downhill starts again and there will be heavy rain again.

At the end of such anxiety and depression, the seven of us began to inspire each other with dreams and faith, as if we were boys again. And it's August 2020. No.1 on the Billboard chart. And once again, No.1 on Billboard.

All seven of us, we were grateful in tears for the awards we gave when we stood up again. But what's more grateful is our members and fans who have held each other firmly and supported each other in the last decade of giving up and falling behind."

J-Hope "I pressed myself fiercely and asked again."

“In fact, regardless of the times, the job as an idol or artist is like a road without milestones.

I leave with a big dream of music, but I don't know where the path I'm walking is heading, whether it is uphill or  downhill from now on, whether it will be a paradise or a cliff if I go a little further when it's been too hard after a while.

Before we know it, the path that BTS has taken has gradually widened and brightened. I could see the happy faces of the fans. I thought it would be okay.

However, our shadows are getting bigger and heavier as much love and attention as we have never imagined. Even our hearts that loved music began to weigh down.

Who are we? What kind of love are you receiving? I urged myself fiercely, and had no choice but to ask."

Suga "memorized the order desperately"

"At the beginning of debut, seven years ago, BTS began to walk that path, using temperament, passion and spite as a weapon, which he dared not predict.

I wanted to be more successful than anyone else. I made my debut in a small company, faced with many difficulties and worries, and worked hard, perhaps reckless, and perhaps foolishly.

I didn't know what to do, but it seems like I was desperately memorizing the spell, "It will be a memory in the  future, and all the hard things will pass now."

Jimin "One word to strengthen together, it became a big light"

"It seems like we're running without a break, obviously we're working hard, and we've been in place for a long time. By the time they were sensitive, quarreled, and exhausted, seven people gathered together.

The older members who helped us with our work. "I can't understand you all, but it hurts me a lot. Let's cheer up together." Maybe that's a very ordinary word, a very warm word, was a big boost to us.

It was a big light for young people who didn't know where to go."

Jin "The young people in Korea have always been strong and great"

Even in the future and face each other as young people and adults, I won't say, 'This is the right way,' 'This life is great,' and 'This is the right answer.'

Young people in Korea have always been strong and great. Instead, we will always protect ourselves so that momentary happiness and unhappiness do not influence the entire life, just as BTS did in 2020. We will encourage you to help and rely on it together.

Like yesterday's youth, like today's youth, I hope you continue to walk bravely, as you have done so far. I want you to change the world with your great ideas, and to be the light of the times, for the youth of the future."

V "At this moment, let's be honest with ourselves"

"It seems like my body and mind have been so exhausted. Now I know where I am going, and this way that looks good wasn't something I didn't want, it seemed that I had lost my goal. I wasn't happy, and emptiness came.

I worked really hard to get out of the swamp of emotion. At this moment, let's be honest with ourselves. Feel and pour out each emotion."

Jungkook "If I walked alone, I wouldn't have come so far"

"Like a lie, I decided to cheer up again, thinking about the members and fans.

We started off on a path with nothing, and now we seem to be milestones for each other.

We are grateful to be together, and our desire to be helpful to each other helped us understand what we need to do naturally.

If I had walked alone, I wouldn't have come this far. I couldn't even dance and run."
