BTS "The end of the American journey is Grammy...We want to win an award."

BTS has repeatedly expressed his wish to be nominated for the Grammy Awards, the most prestigious pop music awards in the United States.

BTS made the remarks in an interview with the cover model of the U.S. magazine Esquire on the 23rd (local time), a day before the Grammy's announcement.

BTS "We want to be nominated for a Grammy and get an award if possible," said leader RM. "I think the end of our journey to the United States is the Grammy."

 

BTS, who conquered the top of Billboard's main single chart 'Hot 100' with the hit song 'Dynamite', has left only the Grammy Award nominations and awards among the three major music awards in the United States.

 

BTS won the "Top Social Artist" award at the Billboard Music Awards last month for the fourth consecutive year, and won two gold medals at the "American Music Awards" held the previous day.

Earlier, major foreign media outlets, including the Associated Press and Billboard, predicted that BTS is likely to be nominated for the Grammy this time.

The Recording Academy in the U.S. will announce its candidate for the 63rd Grammy Awards through a live streaming event starting at 9 a.m. on the 24th (Korea time at 2 a.m. on the 25th), and the award ceremony will be held on January 31 next year.
