BTS swept the Billboard's year-end settlement chart... Top prize in 7 categories

BTS was honored as the 'Best Group' on Billboard's year-end settlement chart.

Billboard released the 2020 YEAR-END CHARTS on December 3 (local time). BTS topped seven categories: "Top Artist Duo/Group," "Billboard 200 Artist Duo/Group," "Digital Song Sales Artist," "Social 50 Artist," "World Album Artist," "World Album" and "Digital Song Sales."

BTS, who became the first Korean singer to top the main single chart "Hot 100," also rewrote the 62-year history of the Billboard chart by reaching the top of "Hot 100" with his new song "Life Goes On," which is composed of Korean lyrics. Those who are continuing their unique record in pop music history also stood out on Billboard's 2020 year-end charts.

BTS also ranked third in "Hot 100 Artist Duo/Group," second in "Top Sales Artist," second in "Independent Artist," 18th in "Billboard 200 Artist" and 42nd in "Hot 100" Artist.

The digital single "Dynamite" and its fourth full-length album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" also did well. 'Dynamite' topped 'Digital Song Sales', 'Hot 100 Songs' 38th and 'On Demand Streaming Songs' 50th, 'MAP OF THE SOUL : 7' topped 'World Album', 2nd in 'Independent Album', 2nd in 'Testmaker Album' ,3rd in 'Top Album Sales' ,3rd in 'Top Current Album'.

 

Big Hit Entertainment, which includes BTS, topped both 'World Album Label' and 'World Album Imprint'. In addition, it ranked second in "Independent Imprint" and third in "Independent Label."

Billboard's annual year-end charts rank the most popular albums, songs and artists in each category throughout the year. The year-end charts of 2020 were ranked by adding up the results of various charts from November 23, 2019 to November 14, this year.
