Lee Soo-man "SM Celebrates Humanity with a Free Concert"

"This free concert is to celebrate the humanity of SM fans who are with us now."

SM Entertainment CEO Lee Soo-man made the remarks on why the joint concert is being broadcast live for free.

SM Entertainment broadcast its joint concert 'SMTOWN LIVE Culture Humanity' on various channels including YouTube and Naver V LIVE at 1 p.m. on the 1st (Korea time) for free worldwide.

SM's representative producer Lee Soo-man, who appeared in the video, said, "Music has no barriers. We can communicate without language, and it can be a great comfort and healing for each other and for each other."

"SM and I are trying to give you that kind of music," he said, adding that hundreds of roles and talents will be invested until a single song is completed, a music video is made, and the stage is staged. "The system was created to provide better and more perfect songs efficiently and steadily."

Referring to "Culture Technology" (CT), a value that SM Entertainment presents, "This CT is the know-how that SM and I make music efficiently." "The core of this CT is humanity."

"It has been a really tough year for everyone in 2020. I want to comfort you with music," producer Lee Soo-man said, "We have something to say when we meet. Let's be considerate, humble and love each other.

"SMTOWN LIVE" is SM's global performance brand that has been successful in major cities around the world since 2008, including Seoul, New York, LA, Paris, Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai. The free online concert was pre-recorded in compliance with quarantine guidelines.

The concert will feature Kangta, TVXQ, Super Junior, Taeyeon of Girls' Generation, SHINee Taemin, EXO Baekhyun and Kai, Red Velvet, NCT DREAM (NCT Dream), NCT U (NCT Dream), WayV (WayV), SuperM, and aespa.
