On Spotify, the world's largest audio music streaming platform, the Korean singer with the highest number of streams in 2020 was group BTS.
According to the 2020 K-pop global year-end settlement data released by Spotify, the number of streams by 10 Korean artists who recorded the largest number of streams in the world on Spotify has exceeded 10.67 billion times in total over the past year.
BTS was the Korean artist who recorded the highest number of streams. It was followed by BLACKPINK, TWICE, Stray Kids, and Red Velvet.
IU as a Korean female artist, Agust D as a male artist, Baekhyun's "Candy" in the R&B genre, Zico's "Any Song" in the hip-hop genre, and V's "Sweet Night" in the OST genre, each recorded the most streaming.
"This year's global K-pop year-end settlement reflects Spotify's vision to actively support the global success of various Korean artists and music," said Marian Dicus, director of the Spotify global music division.
"As we are about to officially launch in the first half of this year, we will do our best to contribute to accelerating the shared growth of the domestic music streaming ecosystem and to have a positive impact on users, music fans, artists, and creators."
