BTS ranked #1 in online concert revenue in 2020

BTS was the highest-grossing online concert of 2020 with "Map of the Soul ON:E".

Touring Data, a concert ticket sales analysis site, explained in its 2020 annual report released on the 3rd (Korean time) that BTS is expected to top the 2020 year-end charts based on 35 stadium performances announced before the Covid-19 pandemic with the Map of the Soul tour.

However, due to the global spread of Covid 19, most of the offline concerts scheduled after March, including the Map of the Soul tour, were canceled, and the expected rankings changed significantly.

Touring Data said at the end of the annual report that BTS topped the highest-grossing online concert of 2020 with 'Map of the Soul ON:E'.

According to the report, the concert earned more than 44 million U.S. dollars (about 50 billion won) from 993,000 paid viewers in 191 regions for two days.

BTS earned 20 million U.S. dollars from 756,600 paid viewers in 107 countries with another online concert "Bangbangcon: The Live," bringing in a total of 65 million U.S. dollars from 1.749,600 paid viewers.

"Map of the Soul ON:E" was held simultaneously for two days on October 10 and 11 last year with online streaming and offline performances.
